Google Fiber

Charlotte, North Carolina

Originally built in 1908 as a two-story warehouse, and most recently used as a tavern, this building was renovated to function as a new retail operation for Google Fiber and was completed in the Fall of 2016.  Lineberry Architectural Group worked with Grimshaw Architects from New York to keep the bones and exterior skin of the building intact while housing a modern, fresh interior for Google Fiber.  This 10,000 sf renovation/restoration included an open-air atrium separating the retail group and learning area on the main floor, second floor office space and staff meeting rooms; skylights and roof, new finishes and all new plumbing, mechanical, electrical and fire sprinkler systems.
